The SPUD boys L-R: Craig Wright, Andrew Maclean, Fraser Brownlee, Tom Carlile, your correspondent. The SPUD Zine ladies were otherwise engaged.
For the 2015 Print Festival Scotland, the Dundee Print Collective has joined forces with Yuck ’n Yum to produce SPUD. That’s the official unofficial zine of the festival.
But what is SPUD and what does it want from you?
Well, we dunno! That just depends on you.
SPUD is black and white, 8 pages per issue, with one published each day
over the course of the festival. There will be many ways you can have
your work included in the SPUD zine. Potato printing at the HMC! Beer
mat printing in various pubs around Dundee! Not to mention a whole host
of other workshops around the city. We’re accepting submissions from
print makers at all levels, so please just email us your ideas, art and
photos of the festival but please remember it's a black and white zine.
We cannae pay you like, but just think of the prestige of being
included in one of the 50 limited edition zines. Instant cultural
capital can be yours!
Please email images to: spudsubmit@gmail.com
Its Facebook page is at https://www.facebook.com/spudzine and its Twitter feed is at https://twitter.com/spud_zine.
A highly covetable collection of the first 3 issues.
